Choosing the right program

The supervising BCBA recommends a setting based on your child's assessment results, current skill level, age, insurance authorization, and your family's schedule. For many families, the right setting is simply the one that is most sustainable. A child receiving excellent telehealth therapy consistently will outpace a child receiving ideal in-person services inconsistently.

Yes, when clinically appropriate and authorized by insurance. Some families use telehealth for parent coaching and skill maintenance while supplementing with in-person sessions for hands-on skill building. Your BCBA will discuss whether a blended model makes sense during the treatment planning phase.

The core clinical methods are the same: naturalistic teaching, discrete trial training, and behavior support, delivered via secure video rather than in person. Research shows telehealth ABA produces comparable outcomes for most children, especially when caregivers are actively involved in sessions. The main advantages of telehealth are scheduling flexibility and removing the logistics of travel.

Most major commercial insurance plans and Medicaid managed care plans cover ABA therapy across settings, though covered settings can vary by plan. Our billing team will verify your specific coverage for each setting before any commitment is made. There is no cost to you for the verification.

Yes. Families transition between settings regularly, for example, moving from intensive in-home services to maintenance-level telehealth as a child approaches school age. Your BCBA manages any transition carefully, with a plan review and a warm handoff so there is no gap in clinical support.

Most families complete the intake call and insurance verification within the first three business days. The BCBA assessment typically takes 1-2 weeks, and services can begin within days of plan approval. Our typical time from first call to first session is under three weeks.

The team at Super Sprout ABA changed our lives. Within three months our son was communicating in ways we had only dreamed of. The BCBA kept us involved every step of the way.
